For that reason, there are more than 1.4 million of people attend in IELTS test each year.

Getting an IELTS certificate will help you expand your door to international education as well as the opportunity to work globally. In addition, candidates with high IELTS scores are always sought by universities and employers in English-speaking countries.
IELTS comprehensively assesses the four skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. IELTS will not be a difficult test if the candidates know how to prepare thoroughly both knowledge and skills, the method of performing the test.

The tips below will help you a lot in learning and preparing for the IELTS test

  1. Listening

Read the instructions carefully, do not just skim a little, they always have a few differences compared to the practice or the previous test.

Try predicting what the speaker will say. This is not easy because it requires high concentration. Do not miss your chance to win points. You should answer as many questions as possible in Part One and Part Two as possible, as these are the two most readable parts of the list.

Try not to leave any answers empty, even if you are unsure. Even if it’s 1%, it’s still your chance to score.

2. Reading

It is important for you to look out for the title, headings and any special features such as capital letters, underlining, italics, figures, graphs, and tables. You should make sure that you understand the questions and follow instructions carefully and pay attention to timing; do not spend too long on one passage or question. If you do not know the answer to a question, attempt it but do not waste time; move quickly onto the next one. Unlike the TOEFL test which requires skimming skills, the IELTS reading task requires a scanning skill to identify the detailed information in the questionnaire. Mistakes that make up a lot of points, copy very carefully if the answer is right in the paragraph. Check spelling, singular, plural and only give a single answer if required by the question.

3. Writing

With writing, you need to emphasize the keywords, clearly separate the paragraph, the article must be closely linked to the topic, do not repeat the idea in different ways. Be careful with time, do not rush to part two because this part is longer and also more points. The paragraph must be clear, each paragraph has a meaning and attention to the use of language, avoid language not formal, spoken in the article. Make sure you practice a lot before taking the exam. That’s how you can imagine how long a paragraph of 150 words. This helps a lot because you will not have time to count one at a time. Always take a few minutes to read and edit the completed article.

4. Speaking

The Speaking test is a face-to-face conversation with a certified examiner. It is as close to a real-life situation as a test can get. This should help you feel comfortable when speaking. Try to relax so that you can speak as naturally as possible to develop your answers and ask for clarification if necessary. It is important to express your opinions; you will be assessed on your ability to communicate. Also, take time before the test to practice speaking with a partner, friend or teacher.
